OLD24.COM - POLISH POSTER GALLERY

I remember the excitement and the faster beating of my heart when I ordered the longed for poster from one of the galleries. The trembling of my hands and the smell of old paper when I opened the tube and pulled out something more than just a poster - I was touching a dream come true... But something ruined this moment... Something that may have led me to where I am today…

My story with Art is a novel full of passion, breakups and not-so-obvious returns. It started already during my studies. I met many wonderful people then, I fell in love with the United States, but most of all I fell in love with art. When as a student in 2003 I worked at Hopi House Gallery in Grand Canyon (USA) in the oldest store with traditional Indian art, I was surrounded by beauty every day and I did not want to part with it.

My heart started beating for the first time for posters in 2005, when while working at the Silesian Castle of Art and Enterprise in Cieszyn, I found the Polish School of Posters. While organizing exhibitions of art and design, I prepared exhibitions in Cieszyn, Budapest and Saint Etienne. Already then, I started to collect my first posters privately, although I did not devote myself entirely to this love. I started to work in commerce and business, effectively using my specialization - English in business. There were successes (in 2010, I won the Polish Championship in Sales Management), there was no boredom and I could realize myself (after years of practice, I began to teach others as a sales trainer), but I did not feel the excitement and delight as when I surrounded myself with art, including posters.

My unfulfilled love came back. Over time, I began to expand my private collection of posters and my knowledge in the field. I fell in love with art, and since then I have known that life is more beautiful with art. I wish every person could feel that heartbeat and adrenaline when admiring a poster that you have been waiting for so long. However, I would like to help everyone avoid the disappointment which I experienced in the situation described in the introduction.

Unfortunately, the postef of my dreams did not come to me in the condition in which it was presented to me. The photo in the gallery turned out to be a color-enhanced scan, perfectly cropped and corrected. The laconic condition rating in the description said little about the fact that I was getting a faded poster with stains and missing parts that were not visible in the photo. I felt a great deal of disappointment about this. In other cases, inadequate protection of the poster caused it to move around during transport in the tube, resulting in crumpled and wrinkled edges and sides. Or a flimsy, repeatedly used tube broke in half during shipping. These few examples of inaccuracy led me to a simple conclusion - THIS MUST BE AND IT CAN BE DONE IN A BETTER WAY.

As an analyst and a diligent person, I decided that in old24.com gallery this would be done in a proper way.

Rule 1: Real and detailed photos

Rule 2: Only good titles

Rule 3: Safe packaging

Rule 4: Easy search and readability also on mobile devices

This is how the story I told at the beginning and my personality got me where I am today, i.e. motivated me to open my own gallery.

My nature reveals itself in something else: I search, investigate and analyze. Nothing is impossible for me - I find even the most rare and inaccessible posters. Additionally, I systematically and carefully observe the situation and dynamics on the poster market. I am not only up to date with current trends, but I do more than that: I predict, anticipate and discover. My extensive professional experience and character do not allow me to wait... I have to anticipate. This has resulted, among other things, in a series of publications predicting upcoming trends for Polish market. You can find it in Polish at:

Therefore, when you visit old24.com galery expect not only "proven" and sought-after titles, but also gems that will soon shine like diamonds.

Love for posters is not the only love in my life. I am glad that my dear wife understands my passion for posters and she is not jealous of this love. What is more, she helps me a lot in this field. She also has her passion. Some of her unique work can be found and purchased in the category: Breadboxes and Accessories. Her handicraft products have already decorated hundreds of homes in the United States (mostly in California, Texas and New York). We are also parents of a little son (not as little as I think :)). It makes us happy to see the way our son responds to art.

I love learning new skills, finding connections between things, and meeting creative people.

My motto is: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. For some people, buying their first ever poster can start an amazing adventure that will never end. For others, it's another step that only makes life more colorful. No matter what stage you are at, we encourage you to experience the beauty of interacting lovely posters. We invite you to start or continue your adventure with original posters from the Polish School of Poster

4 main rules of old24.com poster gallery

Rule 1: Real and detailed photos

You see exactly what you buy. We post many photos showing the poster from the front, back, close-ups and angles. This requires more time from us and a given title doesn't look as candy-colored as it does on many sites, but it's a fair, honest and accurate approach to the subject matter. We believe you also deserve to see exactly what you are buying when you shop in old24.com gallery.

Rule 2: Only good titles

Not every movie poster is art. The database of Polish movie posters counts tens of thousands of items. Some of them were designed in a hurry, plus no poster designer is able to create dozens or hundreds of masterpieces alone. Also, the mere fact that a poster is 50 or more years old does not establish its value. "Among the trash, shine like a diamond" - in poster art this quote also applies. That's why we don't have aspirations to create a gallery with the biggest numer of titles, or something like a digital library of all poster art. At old24.com you'll find well established posters, rare posters, and posters that in our opinion have potential.

Rule 3: Safe packaging

When packing, you can't be in a hurry. We do not cut costs on packing materials. Care and anticipation of possible dangers during shipment is key. We always assume that during transport the tube can be thrown or pressed by something heavy. So we protect it in a number of ways and use multiple layers so that none of these hazards can damage it

Rule 4: Easy search and readability also on mobile devices

The search engine in old24.com gallery is enabled at every subpage. You can search by theme, by artist, by decade. For example, in the search window you simply type "Wajda" and in the results you will find all the posters/products that are in any way connected with the work of this great director. Some of the posters are also accompanied by videos. The latest technological solutions make it easy to find your dream product and go through the whole purchase process even on a small mobile device.
